Prairie Berry Winery

So a couple of weeks ago, Adam & I headed down to Custer State Park. On the way down, we stopped at the Prairie Berry Winery in Hill City. The other day, i wanted to play around with my studio lights so i got a bottle of wine out. Also, had a green bottle here that was from my dad.
Yesterday i sent the photos to Prairie Berry Winery, just so they could see them. This is what i got back...

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit us! Also, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful photos of Red Ass Rhubarb along with your dad’s green bottle. They turned out very beautiful.

I am going to forward your email and photos on to other staff here at Prairie Berry Winery to enjoy as well!

Thanks so much again.

Here are the photos if you are wondering what they looked like.

Northern Hills Invite

So yesterday i attended the Northern Hills Invite in Belle Fourche. I was so excited the weather wasn't like the last time i went to Belle. No rain and no snow ... aways makes for a better meet :)
It will take a while for me to get the photos up on the site. I also may put them into to different folders. (One for vertical photos and one for horizontal photos). I am done working on all 68 horizontal photos, just need to work on the 110 vertical photos.
Here is a sneak peek at a couple of photos from yesterday.

Sturgis Waterfall

So yesterday i noticed that the Sturgis waterfall was going. And i waited a half an hour before my husband got off of work. I made him come with me over there. So with camera and tripod in hand, we tried hiking around dead and alive trees and water. (I think the city should take the old trees out, but that is just my opinion. They do have better things to do tho) Anyways, I think the waterfall is so pretty. I have seen better, but this is a pretty waterfall in a good location. (I have been to Montana. I have seen beautiful waterfalls, also hiked to the top of a mountain and seen where waterfalls start) So here is a photo that i took yesterday.

After hiking up as far as we could, we drove to the top of the waterfall. To see where it starts. On the way back to the car, Adam found these huge prints. Also, before leaving, i took a photo of the beautiful old tree laying down.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Sturgis Baseball Opener

Sturgis opened its Spring baseball schedule last night with a game against Rapid City West.
Here are a couple of photos from the game. It may take me awhile to get the photos up. I just got done fixing 143 photos to be put up on the web.

New lights :)

I finally got them. A pair of studio lights. I am very excited to start playing around with them. Now i need to look into getting a background stand and some backgrounds. (Really not looking forward to this. The stuff so expensive). I figure, any new equipment will be an advantage to me and my clients.

Custer State Park

So this past weekend, instead of heading to the track meet in Spearfish, my husband and I headed down to Custer State Park. We stopped at Sylvan Lake and went through the Wildlife Loop.
Not sure if you are able to get out of your vehicle in the wildlife loop or not, but i did. We seen some antelopes and i wanted some photos of him. Adam took me just to get out of the car, so i did. I thought i got close to him, plus he started walking to me. Which was pretty cool. I even got to see two buffalo fighting. Never have seen that before.
But here are a couple of photos..

A needle in a haystack...

Since my husband (Adam) and I have moved out West we have enjoyed the wildlife. Adam is a hunter and grew up as one. Me on the other hand ... well, I would ride a long with my dad when he went pheasant hunting.
So this year, Adam & I have been hunting for deer sheds. Now you have all heard of ... It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. This is so true when trying to find sheds out in the hills.
We went out tonight, and I told Adam 'the only way that I'm going to find a shed, is if I trip over one' (Thankfully I didn't) The nice thing is, this is something that we can do together and be out in nature.
I have yet to find a 'non-connected' shed this year. But I'm sure we will be out a couple more times before the grass starts growing.
