Fall Sports Season Underway

It's always a sad feeling when fall sports gets underway. And when i say sad, it's just hard to look back at the summer and wonder where it went.
But, on the happy side of things ... fall sports are starting :) Which are always fun to shoot.
So here is saying good-bye to summer and welcoming the busy time of year with fall sports :)

Here are a couple of photos that were taken Friday and Saturday. Sturgis girls' soccer vs. West Central; Sturgis volleyball vs. Aberdeen Central and Mitchell.
-- I will be working on the photos on Monday and plan to have them up on the Web site by Tuesday.

Deb -- 2010 Senior -- Day 2

I just finished up Deb's photos today.
For never shooting a girl before; I came into the shoot, yesterday, kind of nervous. I got lucky and had a beautiful girl with a great family. (Thank you for picking me to shoot your senior photos :) )
Below is a sneak peek ...

I just got back from shooting some of Deb's senior photos ... and couldn't wait to put some up here.

Can't wait to finish the rest tomorrow :)

Tubin Weekend

This past weekend, my husband and I traveled back home to go on the Annual Willuweit Tubing Trip.

This year, I decided to take my good camera ... at least down to Sparks, Neb. (I left it in the car while we were tubing).

Every year, I have went, we book everything through Dryland Aquatics. So this year, while we were waiting to get onto and off of the buses, i went and took some photos of the place.

Enjoy, this week I will be busy with senior photos ... starting tonight :)
Things will start to get back to normal around here soon. With sports starting up and two more scheduled senior photos in September.

'09 Leading Ladies Marathon

I was asked by Mark Coffey, about a month ago, to help shoot the 2009 Leading Ladies Marathon. Which I happily agreed to. I'm missing shooting sports. The time between baseball and football ... is a down time for me in the sports world.

It was kind of a long morning :) Got into the Canyon at 6 a.m. and got done shooting around 10:30 a.m. But i had a great time. Those ladies running/walking are so nice. It makes any one's work much better when you deal with pleasant people :)

I just wanted to pass along the link to Mark's company Action Sports Images. (You may click on this company name to take you to his site).

I was also lucky enough to see a couple of people i knew running :)

I would also like to thank Jana Thompson of Thompson Photography for recommending me to Mark :)
Also, thank you to Jared (the main photographer for the event) for setting me up with everything for the day.

Again to check out photos, click on Action Sports Images logo below.

Hwy 34 Views

So this morning, after thinking about senior photos ... for the second day in a row. I just need to get outside and go on a little drive.

I ended up driving out of Sturgis on Hwy 34 and drove for awhile before turning back. I did end up finding some pretty cool views.

Kid Family Photos

While we were home this past weekend. I had the chance to get all of my nieces and nephews together for some photos i have been thinking about for a year or two.
The goal was not only to take some photos of the kids, but to get some new photos for my mom's kitchen walls :)

This is what happens when my nephew comes up to me and says ... 'Becky, will you take some pictures of just me on the tractor?'
-- Talk about melting someones heart!

This shoot was planned for a different spot. I was thinking in my head of Mitchell Lake in the background with sand. But, beings we had to get down to visit my grandma ... it turned into a gravel road shot. Which I liked after looking at the photos.
I also made the tutus for the girls earlier in the year. :)

The cousin boys shoot wasn't going to be on a tractor either, but I made due with what i had that day :)

Veggie Flowers

While our quick trip home this past weekend. I was able to get some photos taken of kids and random stuff.
So here is a couple of random stuff. Below are two photos from out in the field. For anyone who doesn't know, my parents raise produce and sells it at their home.
The first one is of a pumpkin plant; and below that is a zucchini flower.
The big yellow flowers are so pretty!
