Good luck teams during, districts, regions and state.


Newell girls' basketball will take on Belle Fourche in districts tonight (Feb. 24) at 7 p.m. in Newell.

Newell boys' will travel to Lead March 2 for the first round of districts as they take on Lead-Deadwood.

Newell wrestling team will be taking boys' to the state Class B wrestling tournament held Feb. 27-28 up in Aberdeen.

Good luck to all athletes in their postseason.

Up and Running

I know of a couple of people wondering where my sports photos are on the Web site. To answer your question. They are up again :) I am done with the new photo cart.

Also, I have only put photos up from December to recent photos. If you decide that you want to purchase photos from a football game or volleyball match, just let me know and I will re-upload that game/match/etc.

Sports Photos on Web Site?!?

Alright, the new site is up. Which took less time than i thought. But i am working on the proofing site for the moment, which is taking a lot LONGER then i thought.

Yesterday i shot district wrestling which was held in Gregory. For anyone looking for the photos, they will be up on the new site as soon as i get it done. After i figure things out, i will go back last month and post the photos.

After i get all of the kinks out of the new site, their will be a link called Proofs up on the Web site.

I will keep everyone up to date on the blog, here, as to what is going on :)

New site

The new site is finally up :) It even surprised me today. When i worked on it, it said it might take 72 hours for it to change. Hope you enjoy the new site.
I am working on the new photo cart to get things worked out.

What’s New at South Dakota Action Sports


New Web Site
If you go to the Web site right now, you will not see anything new. But if you give it awhile some ‘new’ site may appear. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
I just purchased a new site Tuesday. It will take awhile before I can start working on it. I have decided to make the switch to a site that I can add a photo cart too.

How this will effect the photos on the Web site right now?
I do have some bad news for anyone waiting until the end of the year to order. When I get my new photo cart, I may only go back a month and work on those photos and upload them. (That way I don’t have to deal with a whole year’s worth of photos). So, if you still want to order photos from volleyball, football, etc. now would be a great time to order. Or another option is to write the event and number of the photos you want down. Send the order in when you feel like it. (I will still have all of the photos). The posters will also be coming off the site. I will only be putting up poster when someone orders one.
(Please email this to anyone you think would be interested in older photos, not that they don't know anything about the new changes).

State JV Boys’ Hockey Tournament
I will be back East River the beginning of March. I will be shooting the State JV Boys’ Hockey Tournament in Mitchell. This event is the main reason of switching sites. If I have a photo cart with my site, all I have to do is upload the photos at this site.

Senior Photos
If you know of anyone who has not taken senior photos for the 2009 year, let me know. Spring is coming up and I can have the photos to you by graduation.

Book Review

I thought i would write a bit to share the blog of one of my good friends, and while i am at it. Talk about a book(s) i got done reading.

The Blogger's Book Club is a great place to go to leave comments to other book lovers out there. If you head over to her blog, be sure to let people know what you are reading at the moment. (Off to the right, What are you Reading?).

Mari (the one who started the blog) told me about a book she was reading. Of course my favorite author is Nicholas Sparks. So she told me that 'this' book is like a Sparks' book but only with vampires. Truthfully, i thought she was out of her mind for even telling me about this book. (Sorry Mari!) But while i was back home visiting the movie was still in the theaters, so she went with me, and i loved the movie.

So around Christmas, i asked my husband to pick up "Twilight" at the book store while he was in Rapid. Of course he picked it up and then wrapped it up for a Christmas gift. So i had to wait until Christmas to open it.

Needless to say, i loved the book more. I just couldn't get enough of it. As soon as i was done with it, i need to get the second book. The day we went to Rapid it was out of stock. So i ended up ordering it, which took a week and a half. And then decided i better order the last two. I went back home with the second book and ended up buying the third book (my second copy) at Walmart.

I had finished all four books in a months time, counting all of the waiting for books to get to me :) So now, i am stuck. And can't wait for the movie to come out and for New Moon to come out this year. Of course I'm sure i will have to go back to watch it with Mari. I'm sure my husband will NOT want to come with me :)

For anyone done with this same series, check out Midnight Sun. It was going to be the next book, until someone leaked the first chapter out. Now, Stephenie's not happy about it and not sure if she will end up writing it. I hope she does. It's different to know Edward's side of the story.
