Dakota Kart Racers

This was the first time i have ever seen go kart racing. And i loved it! Have a feeling my nephew would have loved it too :) Everyone was so nice out there.

Here are a couple of photos from tonight. After uploading everything, Adam and I shot over 1,000 photos. So when we get back from Montana, it may take awhile to get everything up. But i will try and get everything as soon as i can.

Today I am taking Go Kart photos in Rapid City. But tomorrow Adam & I will be taking off to Montana. It looks like we will be back around the 4th (of July).

Any orders that are sent, will have to wait until we get back.

South Dakota High School Rodeo Finals

I headed to the South Dakota High School Rodeo Finals yesterday morning. And today, i wish i could go back today :) What a great atmosphere. I was going to head back to the night session yesterday, but i ended up putting photos up on my Web site.
I also enjoyed seeing some of the kids i use to take photos from back East. These are the kids that is only seen playing basketball, football, track, etc.
Can't wait for my next rodeo :)

New page... Calendar :)

I just added a new page to my Web site today. I have placed the link on my front page. It will lead you to my calendar.
Again, any and all events on the calendar doesn't lock me into going to the events.

This morning i have added all of the state events and where they will be held for this coming school year (08-09) and also the 09-10 school year.

I will try and keep the calendar up to date as much as possible. And please note that not all schools will be on the calendar.

I have also, just added the Sturgis (only home games), Newell (only home game), Gregory and Emery-Ethan football schedules today.

If you have something that you think needs to go on the calendar, just email me. This helps me figure out what is going on each day. (And when i can plan trips home)

Past weekend & What's coming up this week

So this past weekend, Adam and I headed up to Newell to help a couple of friends move into their new home. After coming home, we decided to head up Spearfish Canyon with the bike.
I love Spearfish Canyon, but i love it more on the bike. You can see so much more stuff :) When we head up to Savoy we always head to our favorite waterfall ... Spearfish Falls. But we also went to Roughlock Falls. If you haven't been there in a while. GO AGAIN! They have put so much work into it. If you walk down the path, you can get to the point where you can see the big waterfall and some smaller ones. It was gorgeous. And two thumbs way up for everyone who worked on it and whoever thought of the idea!

As for this week, well, i may have a busy one (after Tuesday).

Summer begins Saturday

With all of the events going on in Ethan this past weekend. I also took engagement photos of Ted and Amanda. I have known Amanda for a while now, so it's nice to take her photos. They are such a cute couple.

Ethan's 125 Celebration

Adam and I headed back to Ethan this weekend for it's 125 Celebration. We didn't go to all of the events but we did attend some. On Friday night, we headed into the street dance. On Saturday we attended the parade and later that night we went to the old fashion Saturday night.
The main reason, i wanted to go back was the Alumni Basketball on Sunday. We didn't have enough girls, so we mixed some boys in with our team. But it was a lot of fun!

Crazy Horse Volksmarch

On Sunday, Adam and I also attended the Crazy Horse Volksmarch.
Twice a year anyone can hike to the top of Crazy Horse and get pretty much next to the face. I believe it's a 6.2-mile hike (around trip).
I am really glad we did it, even though i am really sore today :) As long as i can play basketball on Sunday, i think the hike was worth it :)

New Motorcycle

Adam and I picked up our new motorcycle Friday. The Friday that we bought it, the weather was beautiful! Well, up until the point of us buying it. On the way home from Spearfish it started raining. Good thing I was in the car, ha :)
We also took it out on Saturday and a little bit on Sunday. Just a little bit cool to be riding.
